Cradle PositionOnce you have the sling on with the rounded seam in the front of you, open the pouch & make sure the inside layer of fabric up high. Hold baby high up on your shoulder like burping them so you can get their bum into the sling. Now let them slide into the sling, bum first and lie them down with their head facing your shoulder that is carrying the sling. You might need to adjust baby slightly to help them sit up so they’re not lying flat down in the depths of the pouch. Now if you want to nurse them on the breast that is nearest your shoulder carrying the sling – just pull the inside layer of fabric down beside your breast so that you can latch them on. You can pull the outside layer of fabric up and over baby’s head for privacy. To nurse on the other breast furthest from your should that’s carrying the sling, simply slide the sling over so baby’s head is now in front of the other breast and baby is spooning your side in the football hold.
Front PositionsOnce you have the sling on with the rounded seam in the front, open the pouch & make sure the inside layer of fabric by your chest is up. Hold baby high up on your shoulder like burping them so you can get their bum into the sling. While they are up on your shoulder cross baby’s legs under them and then let them slide into the sling bum first. For private nursing make sure you pull extra fabric up on the outside edge as baby goes in. Don’t forget to flip the shoulder over if you want baby up closer and higher to nurse - see “Helpful Tips” on first page. Little babies really like this position, and it is nice for mom if your chest is full of milk or sore. In this position baby is upright. Baby will just scrunch down with their belly lying against your chest sort of between your breasts, and baby will be sitting cross-legged down in the sling. Baby just goes down in the pouch with the inside edge of fabric up high against your chest like they are in a bucket. You can also nurse in this position!

- KangarooThis is a favorite for most babies. Put the rounded seam in front of you and hold baby facing outwards with babies back against your chest. Now cross baby’s legs and slide baby, bum first, into the pouch. Make sure baby's legs are still crossed and not twisted. Make sure the layer of fabric that is closest to your chest is up high on baby’s back to make a wall to keep baby in. This is a better position for babies who are a bit stronger, holding their head up and wanting to see out at the world. Don’t forget to flip the shoulder over if you want baby up closer and higher.
Lying Feet Out - Newborn to 30lbsTo put little baby with head facing away from shoulder carrying sling or to lie child down either way when too big to fit inside pouch.
Sling with rounded seam in the front. Child stays high on the shoulder carrying sling -like burping; feet go between your body and sling (not in the pocket). Pull outside edge up place on child’s shoulders and hold there, with free hand reach up under sling, pull inside edge down. Now fabric is opened like hammock. Now slide child down into hammock - head to either side.
TRICK: lean over and baby will be away from your body so you can adjust your shirt to nurse. The top edge of fabric can be placed up high over baby’s head for privacy nursing.
Back Carry Put baby in the Hip Carry Position – See above. If baby is on right hip, place right hand on baby’s hip/ bum, with other hand grasp bottom of carrier in front. Now in one motion slide/ bouncing carrier with baby around to your back.. Make sure top edge of the carrier is high over baby's shoulders or even up to neck for sleep, arms tucked inside. You must make sure bottom edge of carrier is far past bum & down to behind the knee. Knees pulled UP higher than bum so bum creates deep bucket seat to hold baby in
Side Carry Sling with rounded seam in the front. Child stays high on the shoulder carrying sling -like burping; feet go between your body and sling (not in the pocket). Pull outside edge up & place on child’s shoulders and hold there, with free hand reach up under sling, pull inside edge down & place behind knees. Slide baby down to sit in the seat of fabric.
