Folding & Putting On Your Carrier
1) Fold the carrier in half inside itself, lengthwise –putting all one color to the inside.
2) Put one arm straight out and put the sling on your arm with the sewn edges near your wrist and the rounded seam hanging down. Now put your head through the sling, and let the sling rest on your other shoulder. You can put your sling on either shoulder. If you are right handed, you may like to put the carrier on you left shoulder in the beginning, and this will leave your right hand and arm free to you use, to hold baby when leaning over & learning to carry baby. The sling should fit over the rounded point of your shoulder, and . the edge should NOT be against your neck.
3) Open the sling to create the pouch. This is where the small baby lies, or older baby’s bum sits.
4) The ROUNDED seam is where baby’s bum goes in all positions.
Helpful Tip:
Your sling is meant to be tight at the top edge to help baby stay in safely and to allow baby to grow, be heavier and not stretch the sling too far down.
To bring baby closer and higher up in all positions: partly or completely flip the shoulder of the carrier over (Especially helpful when breastfeeding – brings baby up to breast). This is also helpful when baby is in the back position and you want them tight so they don’t lean away from you too far. To flip the shoulder of the carrier, take the top edge(s) that are on your shoulder closest to your neck and fold them down over your shoulder so that it is twisted right over, and the edge that was down on your arm is now up at your neck.
